I do not agree with your post. Using of We is better that using of I. This show that many people are working about this website and many people are creating this information. Some proficionalism is comming from these words. I think that when you show that many people are in charge with this work, people believe to your words.

I personally hate when there is no "we" or "I" in a website, especially if it's ecommerce site. I immediately smell that no one will be responsible here. NO ONE. When I see "we" or "I" and/or can take a look at team members pictures, that makes me feel comfortable that there are real people behind that screen.

I'm not sure how helpful this post really is. At first we're commanded to never use we or I. Then after a few complaints we are told, ok only in social media and marketing promotion. So 'never use' really should have been 'don't use'.

Look at our home page where we use both 'we' and 'our'. Our site gets good traffic and good conversion rates. Even in social media promotion we also use these personal pronouns, but moderately and in the right places.

We all have to remember that we're not Microsoft or Google and yet even they use these terms occassionally. The point is that it allows us to connect on a personal level with visitors to our site in the same way that we would if we were giving these visitors a personal tour around our company. Even though we're all in business, there is still a very real and evident human element that links a business with its customers. You and me.

I agree with the people that disagree.

Saying 'we' or 'I' portrays a more personal feel. It puts a person behind the company, rather than just another faceless company. This, of course, depends on the purpose.

I am thinking about starting freelance web design. And I certainly plan on using these pronouns on the site. I want people to feel like I'm personally helping them. It should give them a better sense of security, like there's someone behind that site assisting them.
