Never seen this type of Directory...please advise

    Hello everyone,

I added my surfing themed site to this directory today:

    http://www.isurfing.com/links.pl/90/Surfboards

When you click on any external link on the directory, it has that weird way of opening the site where the directry owners url is in the address bar still and has his ads up on top. (isn't that a no-no for adsense?)

What I want to know is if Google or any other Search engine bot follows the link off his directory, would my site incur some type of duplicate content penalty? (since there is essentially 2 copies of my site now...right?)

Think I should get my site taken off this directory? (or just block it all together)

Thanks in advance for any replies/help

That was my first thought too, that it was a proxy site.

After looking at the code, it seems that it opens the other pages in a Frame. Would that be a problem as far as getting a duplicate content penalty?

It seems that I am paranoid, but after reading this thread:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=454877

I don't want any of my content appearing in any other domain but my own.

no I don't think it's duplicate content because it is your site that is being shown. Not really a duplicate but a real thing..

It is a frame, several sites do that. I do not think and have not heard of it being a problem. Just allows them to "keep" the visitor awareness and of course the ads. The page is yours, not a duplicate.

If I remember correctly, about.com does this or something similar.

It will not do anything harm to your site as Search Engines can't index frames. So you will not be penalized for Duplicate content!

You can use a javascript frame breaker to stop this.
