Today i got a green rep from someone who is actually a very good established member with good rep altering power. For first few hours it remained green but now it has turned to grey I have never seen that before. I do not care about rep but it was just wired and i am confused Can anyone help me By the way it was in intro section. I am guessing that Shawn has changed rep power in intro too and may be thats the reason for it For those who are wondering how do i know the name, Its because he signed it. It may be the case that someone else used his or her signature but what i am wondering is why was it green and then turned grey
I know grey reputation comes from either new members or well-reputed but granting reputation for posts made under these categories. Perhaps is matter of relevancy and these topics are just for fun, basically.
I didnt understand the word you said I know grey comes from new members, members who have rep less then 10 and in general chat section. I didnt know that intro was for fun
That happens if a thread gets moved to general chat, I believe. Check to see if that is where thread is now.
No, He or she is a established member with 4 green bloobs i guess and has over 700 posts. That never happened and i think no one has the answer to that either so .....
Not at all, If Mods or Shawn want i can post a screenshot of rep that has member name in it too. Grey doesnt matter but i was amazed to see that it TURNED grey from green and i dont know if any points were deducted because i dont keep up with points
I understand that but believe me that it TURNED grey from green and why would someone leave others name on a green( It was green and message can also tell you that it is green or atleast intended to be ) I dont know then i am confused. Don't know what to tell you... there's really nothing that will go back and edit an old rep unless an admin (basically just me) went into the raw DB and did it manually (which I didn't do).
Could it be a small database error, aka say rep count went wrong and the grey was intended for another of the reps? Jaree is any of the users that gave you rep new or from a general chat area?
May be some kind of bug who knows but lets just forget it now Please read the thread i have addressed that several times
No I don't mean was it moved or anything, I mean your OTHER reps, where do they come from? I am thinking the grey is not ment for that comment \ user.
I have almost 1000 points now and i seriously dont remember a single rep out of those I dont think there is even a possibiltiy of that. Mod or admin can lock the thread if they wish
lol..something is happening here too...I was also confused at first but thought it must be some kind of rules that I missed in FAQ. What happened was that recently I got green from someone with 8 blobs and I got one 1 point from him. This happened again yesterday and this time from a person with 7 blobs Seems like a bug went into greens too
It might be someone from general chat. In general chat rep doesnt count or only counts from members with good rep and it count much less then what it would out of GC
