Yeah, revealing the offenders is a good way to inspire a bot attack.

But, the real question is, are they beating you in the SERPs? If so, then there's something you can file with Google, a WIPO or UDRP complaint or something. Check the legal forums and the G forums.

You cant stop them man but still one things for sure, they will never get quality traffic if all they believe is copying. So relax, you are true to yourself and thats what matters.

I've seen designs stolen by users on here several times but never heard of an entire site idea

I don't have anything of value anyway but that sucks for you!!

just beat them at their own game if you can :)

think of it like this, the more they try to copy. the more traffic you'll bring to the original place that was there first jmho

It's called competition. It's healthy and supported, reason we don't care much for monopolies. Stop whining and start thinking of ways to beat the competition. There are hundreds of thousands of sites like mine, I work my tail off to provide a better service than most of them. It's just the name of the game.

Thanks, you know I spent $900 of my profits just adding options to my program to make it compete and provide better services for my members in the last three months.

You get what you put in.....time, money, or both. If you don't put in either you will get squat. ;)

I feel bad for you.. but like any good sites, if someone can remake it cheaper, faster, or better.. they will.

That's exactly what I was thinking. If they're too lazy to create their own sites, what makes anyone think they have enough motivation to put the work into getting the traffic needed to make an income?

I read this quote a few years back. I thought of it after reading this post.

“Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.”
    Howard Aiken

They could have copied your content and template even if you didn't post it. 4k people each day could be copying it. There is almost no way to prevent it. Best of luck to you in the future.

    Man....Sorry to hear that.

People these days have no honour. I mean, sure, go ahead and make your own, but don't copy it 70% or more.

I dunno how some of these people go to bed at night....

Create as many barriers to entry as possible.

If your site has applications and tools, it is much more difficult and timeconsuming to copy.

If it is just an idea and html, you run that risk.

If you came up with the idea then you are likely be the one to keep promoting it and put more time into it, so you will win in the long run.

So don't worry too much. This happens in the real world with "knock off" products.

pssssssssssssssst -- free tip (albeit to late)

Talk about your best stuff AFTER you secure your position in the market you want to brag about... ;)

There is generally enough cheese in any market to go around -- just make sure you get your slice before you welcome the football team to your pizza party.
