If you think that's freaky you should see what I did to keep from losing my keys.

Whoa... Pretty interesting idea. I'd have to say no, just because of the fact that my daughter may rip it out.

How old are you, voltaire? You talk about nieces and nephews, but your posts make you look like a 6 y/o

Wouldn't it be easier to just staple the earpieces to your ears?

Or even simpler: Just leave your soft contacts in for a few days until they weld themselves to your corneas -- never lose them again.

Or even simpler still: Just buy one of those do-it-yourself laser eye surgery kits from Radio Shack (not the ones from Wal-Mart -- apparently there's a recall on those -- not focused properly so people were ending up with inadvertent lobotomies)... if you're too shaky or nervous to actually pull the trigger yourself, your wife/husband or 10 year old child will be happy to help out.

That reminds me of a news story a few months ago. Scientists were developing a device to help blind people see again. It'd shoot a light into their optic nerve and a computer would send data there that was transferred to the brain. They had limited success (got blind people to see shapes and a few colors).

After reading the story, I wondered why they had a fixation on making sure it could fit into the eye socket. The heat generated, battery life, etc made it not feasible as of yet. I wondered why they didn't focus on something like this. Something attached to the face that stuck out a little - worry about shrinking the technology after it was working.

Wait hold on.... didn't you take the oath that when becoming a forum addict that you forfeit your right to having a real life?
