hey i'm new to this site from a few weeks ago and didnt really notice the introductions area till i looked at the digital spy and saw lots of people saying little introductions about themselves. I'm a noob to SEO and website marketing however i'm a programmer and graphics designer with experience in web site oriented stuff. My strategies for learning about SEO so far have included reading most of the recent tutorials on the subject, including aaron wall's book (which is awesome). I also suscribe to about 50 blogs which i read each day. Also i've been listening to web master radio for the latest info in audio. Also I live in shanghai china, yeah evil censoring china.. Then again life in china is pretty good, i make a western salary and live like a king. Shanghai also has a great night life. The pace of life here is amazing! for instance construction workers work all night so sky scrapers go up incredibly quickly. I've been here two years and my life is just getting more comfortable, now we have papa john's and burger king Anyhow thanks shawn for a nice forum, and somebody tell me if i missed something i should be doing to learn about SEO!
well the easiest way to get here is to get a job as an english teacher, a lot of the schools will pay your way here. Course you'll end up working for them 6-12 months before you'll be out of your contract. Teaching pays about 20$ per hour. I pretty much do free lance website design and i finally landed a job doing SEO instead of teaching. Then again i dont have a university degree in anything so if you have that you should get a job pretty easily someplace. One of the nice things about shanghai is you can get any girl you want ez. Not only do girls think all westerners are very good looking, they think we're rich too! Plus at least in shanghai all the men are pussies (really they even cook and clean, in addition to doing all the work while their house wives go shop all day). Anyhow if you want some more info on life in shanghai you can checkout part of my home page i put up a long time ago. http://www.hostinghelps.com/johnpage/china/livingstandards.htm
