Never Bought or sold a link,but site vanished from 1st position suddenly

Hi,

I have never bought or sold a link,but my site vanished from 1st position suddenly and its in 7th page...is there be any possible reason for that?Its a more than 1 yr old domain....Please answer guys!!

 

Does your backlinks decrease? Or it could be temporary since google is not finish on updating google backlinks.

 

Link trading is not the only reason that could make you website lose rankings. As far as I know there are more than 250 factors that Google uses to rank a website and therefore there is more than possibilities of things going wrong.

Thinks about the changes you have made recently? Analyze you website and compare it with the ones that now occupy the top slots. There has to be a reason why the site lost ranking. Algo are machines and therefore cannot be biased towards someone.

Another thing, which Google version (.co.uk or .com etc.) did you lose your ranking on. Google is after geotargeting these days!

Ok and did you lose rankings on google.com? Have checked if you have made some changes recently??? Something in the past couple of months.

 

I have moved to a vps....but i did that some 1 month back

 

Would you mind sharing your website url and the country were the VP server is physically hosted?

 

It shouldn't be this much hard work to help somebody, should it, lol?

 

Wanted to get my facts right before I came to a conclusion.
