    Oh well... You guys just live on happily, thinking that changes made on your pages between the first and the 20th of the month won't be picked up until the very end. Because that's exactly when Google will do a SQL UPDATE command and rewrite the ENTIRE internet into it's databases.

    Given all the assorted lags in indexing and ranking, and all the changes other sites are making at the same time, it does seem daft for anyone to announce they have found a "cause and effect" based on a single case.

    I read plenty of examples where people have done there best to set up test cases that try and eliminate at least some of the variables, which strikes me as a lot more responsible that simply creating another bit of mythology in an already complex field.
