Nevada to vote on legalizing marijuana

*Personally I have nothing wrong with legalized pot. I'm not quite sure about all the other drugs, but pot is fairly harmless in comparison to cigarettes or alcohol.

The feds would probably still try to enforce federal laws despite if this passes or not.

They'll be so rich by taxing weed. All that money that's in the black market.

I thought I read a story, not too long ago, about the Canadian problem with their "government regulated weed". The quality was so bad, that people don't even buy it from the government, but since the laws were relaxed, they can't do anything about it, really.

I don't really give a crap either way, to be honest. If you wanna be a loser hippie, that's your perogative (just don't apply for welfare or unemployemnt if you can't find a job or get fired).

    Here it is:
    http://www.medicalmarihuana.ca/badpot.html

The story is funny. Medical people actually talking about good pot and bad pot. What's the world coming to?

Dude. This batch of pot rules. Dude..I'm so wasted. Can we buy a government funded hamburger now too? (Vote for the liberals first). Sure. Whatever dude. Can I have some more pot?

This can only be good for the people of Nevada. Less people in jails for possessing simply a plant. Marijuana will be cheaper, and probably of higher quality than the stuff on the streets. No more will marijuana laced with PCP or even cocaine. Sounds good for the users.

I could care less about the drug uses, but industrial hemp is definitely something I would like to see legalized.

Stereo types are great! Some of the biggest people in this industry smoke pot so you should watch what you say because you don't look that bright right now. Just go to a couple conferences and you'd be amazed.

As a rule, people who smoke pot and do drugs do not advance further in their careers, make more money, have a better life or anything. There are always exceptions to everything. But, generally, if you do drugs on a habitual basis, you will be less successful in life, than if you do not.

I've never understood why pot is illegal anyway. It's probably the most harmless 'illicit substance' on the market and no worse for you than alcohol or an unfiltered cigarette. It must be all those "REEFER MADNESS!" pamphlets that got passed around during the early part of the last century.

Vote for me for president and I'll give you all the crappy government regulated weed you can clog your lungs with! Critic/Mary Jane 2008!

And no, I don't smoke it or have any plans to. Ever.

Rather, most people turn to drugs because they are already seen as unsuccessful in life and drugs help them escape reality for a few hours.

Great. Their life sucks. Let's do drugs for a while, so in a while afterwards, it'll still suck.

If life is that bad, and they want to escape, I think we should just give them a gun so they can go kill themselves instead. Why do it the slow way?

    Lets chill for a second.

I provide reason why your statistic may be true. I dont care if their life sucks. I simply stated why most people begin to use drugs.

Marijuana has never killed anyone. Using it isnt killing yourself the slow way.

Its as harmful (or more) as a cigarette. It has a permanent affect on your brain's chemistry. Isn't it killing you slowly?

    Who says its harmful? DARE?

When ingested, it does no harm since no smoke is inhaled yet provides the same high.

A recent university study found that long time users of marijuana had no increased risk of lung illness. Also, it was recently found that THC curbs the developmentof alzheimers.

So, if your position is that THC helps with alzheimers/glaucoma/etc; you could easily extract THC made that would have the sam effect and make it totally safe right. Are you curious why they don't? Because those effects is not part of the goal. The goal is legalization.

    Sane people? Scientists?

    http://alcoholism.about.com/od/pot/

We aren't talking about eating it, we are talking about smoking it. This is what people do with it.

You're the one arguing about how bad weed is, maybe you should campaign about fast food. That's my point.

People can and will do stupid things and you can't stop them. So quit making all kinds of redicuolous and stupid laws over it.
