    Hello guys,

Thank you for the few ideas you gave me in my previous post for the GUI of the opensource Neuridia webmail application. So, here you go, I have created a GUI for the webmail application, one version with a sand background, and the other one with a white background:

Could you give me some feedback please? Which one do you prefer? Is it visually appealing? Do you have any other comment or suggestion? :)
    Thanks again!

Top one, by far. It frames the menu and inbox and give a little bit of conrast to it, think visual separation and being able to quicker identify the two areas.

When we look at objects, our eyes scan the silhouette of the object first then map the insie of it. That's why things with many sides (starbursts) grab our attention more than circles.

For me, the difference between the top one and the bottom on is that on the top one I see:
    -Header
    -Nav bar
    -side menu
    -inbox
    (4 elements total)

    in the bottom I see
    -mail page
    (1 element total)

Go with the top one for sure, it's certainly easier to navigate

I realize it's a mail app and all so certain things have to be there but the only difference in those two screenshots is the background >>? So go with the first one. And if you really wanted it to stand out , change it to a darker background color.

Great, thanks for your feedback, I didn't think about the contrast aspect :)
