Hi guys. I was wondering if this is legal, and if any of you have experienced this: I had a client look on network solutions for a domain he wants, and it was available... I now go to godaddy (and tucows), and they say the domain is not available. When I check whois: Domain Name: ***********.COM Registrar: NETWORK SOLUTIONS, LLC. Whois Server: whois.networksolutions.com Referral URL: http://www.networksolutions.com Name Server: NS1.RESERVEDDOMAINNAME.COM Name Server: NS2.RESERVEDDOMAINNAME.COM Status: clientHold Updated Date: 26-apr-2008 Creation Date: 26-apr-2008 Expiration Date: 26-apr-2009 However, if I go to Network solutions: Congratulations! The following domains are available Hows that for really stuffing you around and forcing you to register through them? Is there anything I can do? I really dont want to use Network solutions because 1) Price, 2) they are a bunch of cybersquatting wallys! Advise? VVOLTT
netsol is not a good player. i heard they always register any name that is checked there. Never check domain name availability on netsol

NetworkSolutions only reserves the name for you if you click OK in the popup box when you leave the results page. Phone NetworkSolutions at 800-333-7680 to remove the reserved status.(the phone # is in the popup box).
