I've been interviewing, and looking for a few months now. Guess I might as well post it here as well. I am in the middle of developing two web hosting companies. One for adult, one for everything else. I have been testing the WHMCS script, and it looks lovely for admin. I have talked to some other hosts, and they had highly recommended it at I can see why. I have domains, and even simple websites in place for the hosting companies I am working on developing. I even have cash to throw behind this venture to buy up existing companies, and client bases to get a jump start. I have been reading and researching a lot. Mainly on webhostingtalk. Which is a nice resource, but it's time for me to take it to the next step. Before I get into the details of this, do not bother posting about how hard web hosing is, and saturated, blah blah. I've heard it about every venue I have tried and succeeded in. But thanks for the tip. Now, I thought about just contracting out my support. I do not expect I will need much at first, but over time I may. But how much do I want to do in that manner when I can find someone who is good, and a partner, who can put in 12 hours to a shared business. You have skills will not be enough. So read on. I am working on some sites that will go along with the webhosting for additional value, and revenue. So there is more opportunity on revenue. Plus you have someone who can help you in guidence and experience in your own ventures as time goes on. However, this is not some get rich quick scheme. While I can buy up other companies, scripts, and client bases to speed up the process. I still would say it's going to be a lean 6-12 months while pieces are put in place. You must not only be familiar with WHMCS, but PHP, and other needed applications for the server side. You will essentially be the technical guru. I will deal with the sales, and marketing aspects. This is not an offer for someone who's lazy. This is a nice opportunity for someone who wants to break in guns blazing. It helps me out because I am more of a money maker, and normally contract out all my PHP, web design, and other things. Which works fine in the past but having someone hands on, in house would obviously be nice. YOU MUST BE CANADA OR US BASED. I am in MI. If you want to work a partnership where you are doing the tech side in trade for knowledge. I'll consider it. However, I would prefer you put a chunk of money in. Then I KNOW you are invested, and we'll consider a business partnership. If you have questions, contact me or post in the thread. Remember, you must have good experience in every aspect from design, to the server side. Plus be committed to handling the support for the hosting. Once things are cooking, we'll look at juggling out the support aspect.
