I recently reinstalled XP Pro on my HP Compaq nc6230 laptop. I didnt have the drive disc so I downloaded 2 drivers from the HP site for sound and wireless internet.

I noticed on my network connections, this is all that shows up:

shouldnt there be other LAN connections or something like that? Or further more, how do I know what drivers I need to download?

You should probably contact HP to ask them what you need or research via Google if others are having the same problem, and find a solution.

there is a wireless LAN driver on their site. Did you use that one? Or the intel pro wireless one? If you used the intel one, get the other one.

Just surf the HP website with your Laptop model number you will find the right drive which supports your wireless device.
