So I was a landlubber and opted into that 1 cent deal a few months back, somewhere in december. I never even connected up the domain , I didn't like the interior setup and a lot was unfamiliar, doing hunt and peck research just for next step blog launching,l etc. sooooooo i decided to discontinue the monthly service. I called and made sure there could be no misunderstanding. For some reasons my auto-renew selection thingy was glued shut, I was not allowed to deselect but all customer service questions could be quickly answered with a phone call, Holy Lord i did believe the young man who said I would not be charged. Yes, of course I was charged for days later. I got this mess corrected once, but then next month April 2, I called again, the auto renew had not been turned off and was glued shut again. i called and got the same assurance. Then of course I was charged again. April 3rd. I happened to review my Paypal and whanggg. Dey it t'was. So day 24 into the month I called both NetSol and Paypal customer service. Goodbye roaming minutes. It seems to be part of the customer service manual in every company to keep clients stewing in a morass of phone-incorporated queues that do not match the situation that keep brewing up. Six bleary eyed tries later I realized NetSol phone operators had mastered the art of the 27 minute hold broken up every 2 minutes. Supervisors at NetSol evidently are not available or take breaks together at all times. All the time. My claim at Paypal elicited friendly emails proffering advice for ethically run companies, (nice) we were way out of that universe by now. The next communications i had with NetSol was that the money for the April 3rd payment was not paid and was outstanding. The operator sneered "Check with your bank". One NetSol operator assured me up hill and down dale that no april 3 payment had ever been processed by Paypal, and they had not processed one either. he then sent me the invoice with the (pa-doyyying) april 3rd payment right there. So freakin weird. I don't know about you but in Paypal you can't dispute a payment that isn't there. But I'm told by Paypal I can't open another claim until ten days which of course crosses over the next May 4 billing date. Who wants to bet that Network Solutions STILL won't get it through their head so they can keep billing me (maybe from the afterlife this time.) One of the operators kep mumbling that the ticket to cancel the service was there but then trailed off...then I would get routed to the on-hol h*ll from which there was no return. Can't this company just accept i don't want their service and move on with all our lives? The operators i spoke with kept repeating all the information I had given them in a freaky singsong way like their boss was standing over them daring them to lose the business, boiler room-style. I was interrupting them, saying what is this mishmash? Why are you talking to me like that? It was like they were trying to give someone else the impression they were hard at work, while blathring to me. NONE of these calls were surveyed or used for "quality assurance".
Thanks for sharing. I was never a fan of NetSol either. Always had issues with them and moved away all my domains couple years ago.
