Certain design decisions I made seems to be really bad for Netscape 6.0. The validation never pass this one. I know the latest Netscape is 8.0, but I don't know If I should bother trying to fix it. What do you guys think?
Sorry if my wording sucked... My question is, the only porblem I have left in my codes are only problematic if you use Netscape 6.0. Should I then try to fix those problems, or should I bet on that Netscape 6.0 users have mostly moved on and I don't have to worry about those problems? The reason I asked is because those are some very fundemental design elements, and If I have to change them it would be a lot of work, so I was thinking about being lazy...
Hey, I just realized I opened the thread in the wrong forum. I must have clicked on the wrong link. Sorry about the confusion.
That depends. Does it work in FireFox? How about Camino? Safari? What kind of visitors are you trying to get? Will it work in older versions of IE? How about IE Mac? If you can support all those guys, I think I'd feel safe dropping Netscape 6 - though it depends I guess on how many people are still using it *at your site.* I pretty much decided that WebTV people can fend for themselves but I support nearly everything else - sometimes not as pretty but always works. (And Java's required for the top menus.)
I would say: don´t care! Try to focus on newer technologies! And...check your tracker. What engine do your user use?! If nearly nobody uses Netscape 6.0, the answer is simple. Greetings. Jabz.biz
