When I hear about malware on a web site I instantly think it's caused by the users computer being infected by a virus. There are numerous virus/trojans that steal ftp passwords then put up iframe's with malware in them. So more than likely this is what's causing the issue. Netfirms could have confirmed it for you just by checking the ftp logs and probably seeing numerous random IP's connecting to your FTP.

I would advise you scan your computer for viruses and change your password. Although a scan at this point may not be very effective as you're already infected.

Do you want to say that my computer is affected? Is it netfirms that is affected by virus or my computer?

If malware is showing up on your sites and I assume the code was inserted into the actual files it's highly like your computer is infected with a virus. Gumblar is the most known one that does there but a lot of viruses are doing this.

I suggest you to switch to hostforweb.com. I use them for like 5 years and they are 24/7 online level1,2 and 3 support and resolve all issues in just a few hours. i recommend them.

Netfirms is a free host is it not? That would explain the lack of support. Best of luck with your new host. Fat Cow or host gator are always the popular choice.

It doesn't sound like their problem, really.

You are in control of your code but no response is not acceptable.

I only have a ca domain registered with them, great to hear they are lack of support.
