i had one domain at netfirms..i couldnt change the Name servers or do domain forwarding.. is this possible on netfirms domains? Please advice.. i am stuck... i think they dont as i couldnt edit the NS'ers..
https://controlpanel.netfirms.com/en-us/cp_login_form go to top and click on Domains than click on Admin then click on DSN ADMIN HOPE THIS HELPS....
i did it..but theres some issue here..although i enter the sedo parking name ser..properly..this is how it comes in my control panel Nameserver 1:NS2.SEDOPARKING.COM Nameserver 2:NS1.SEDOPARKING.COM i tried twice..it still doesnt come in like NS1: sedo NS1.. does it matter that it has to be in that order??
No that does not matter , netfirms was better than I expected. While transfering you can accept the transfer from the panel and you don't have to wait for five days.
What do you mean you don't have to wait for 5 days The transfer request goes to the primary registrar and it's up to him if he delays or make the transfer right away After the registrar the transfer request is forwarded to the registry and then goes to the new registrar I believe it's better to receive an email and ask you for verification If someone hack your account if it is as you say he can make the transfer much easier (note : I never used netfirms, not going to use them in the future, better few dollars more for security and peace of mind. My advice is to avoid all registrars with prices below their $6.22 cost)
Not a fan of Netfirms personally. I decided to give them a go after seeing that they have cheap .com names, but after asking for some advice on what people thought of them. Was told that they are ok, but a bit of a pain if you want to buy multiple names. Registered a name, paid by c/c & entered the CCV number on the c/c as well. After a day, I got an email that I needed to follow a few steps to complete the purchase. I emailed them asking why as I've already completed the purchase. Then they sent an email saying that I had to fax or email them my c/c. As my all-in-one machine for faxing/scanning wasn't working, I wasn't able to do it & couldn't be bothered to do it as well. Seems that the name became available again. I'll be checking my c/c statement when it comes to make sure I wasn't charged by them. Not worth the hassle IMO to save $2 of a domain name.
