I've reformatted it so it looks better.
information below copied and pasted from SP. Sorry for it not being well formated. To see a clean version please check http://www.sitepoint.com/marketplace/auction/2649?

    thanks

I purchased this site approximately 2 1/2 months ago from the original owner. The site has excellent potential but I have not been able to find the time to work on this site, which is why there havent been updates lately. Strangely though, there have been an additional 16000 posts since I've purchased the site, showing that it is still active. I'm just looking to get back what I spent on it. I have over 25 developed sites and 4 dedicated servers, and no time to manage this one. This is a great deal for the person that has the time for it!
The site has had alot of money invested into it originally, as well as lots of time, so this site is actually a very well made site. P.S. this was the vbulletin site of the month a few months ago.

    Please pm any questions/concerns

Below is the original information the original owner posted that I used to buy it.

    Price
    Starting Bid: $4,000

I don't have the time for this website, but I won't sell for under $4,000. If it does not sell, I will just continue to work on it and make it as great as it can be. Private message me with questions, bids, etc. I will only accept bank transfers or checks. PayPal will only be considered if you are well known.

I doubt someone will buy a site with no revenue for 4k. It is a nice site indeed.
Realistic price in my opinion is around $1500

    Good luck with the sale

czar, please dont bash my thread. Your comment was just bogus, I mean there really was no reason to post it.
The site is worth what I'm asking because that's what I paid for it, and at the time I was bidding against a few other people as well.
Considering the fact that the site has had alot more cash invested in it than your random "$1500" appraisal is pointless.

No, it was a valid point, czar - forum has no traffic, no revenue, and only posters are paid for.

Doesn't mean to say it's a bad buy - but $4k is really stretching it.

I'd be interested if the starting bid was half.

Why do you assume paid posting? I use to post there before and I wasnt being paid.
