Netbeans is a great php editor

Big step up from NPP. Much more organized. Lots of code hints(they come up without extra keys). Definitely worth to try. I also use .net and netbeans is definitely superior to .net(too bad it can't do it too).

Eclipse seems better for Java. It also seemed very cumbersome for php.
