.NET versus Messenger

I have just started using MSN Messenger the request of some people on here I talk to. At some point the program asked me if I wanted .NET. I just said yes.

Now what is cool is the .NET application has some feature I can really use.

What's bad is that I see no where to log into .NET.

I can also be logged off of messenger and somehow someone can contact me through .NET.

Basically I don't know what it is, or where to find it to log into it or log out of it.

Sometimes in Messenger I am in .NET and sometimes I have the beta look.

I want to use it but I just don't know.

Any info would be very useful.

    Thanks!

I am thinking your confussing yourself. I think what your talking about .NET in Messenger is Microsoft.NET Passport Authentication service or now Live.com

i think i am. i am real confused about the whole thing.

sometimes my messenger comes up as the pretty beta version...sometimes it comes up as a boxy .NET version

the .NET version has like a whiteboard etc

    the messenger does not...

i just would like to be able to actively activtae the .NET , not just have it appear suddenly.

Yes you are talking about two different things...What you mean is Windows messenger and MSN messenger.

You need to remove the window messenger not .Net. You can do that in the Windows section of Add and Remove programs.

    Simple.
