Okay so i know that .com is better but how much? If i had games.com and games.net and i was selling .com for 100 usd (i know its impossible) how much would .net be worth? And in the end is it that big of a difference? Thanks and I look forward to reading about your opinion!

.net could be worth something depending on the popularity of the keyword you choose. Now it might not exactly be the same as the .com since ppl tend to know sites by that extension more than any other extension. If you were to just create a site with a .net than i don't think your rankings would be affected much because i have .net domains that rank higher than their .com partners. For selling purposes though .com would be worth more if no sites and just the domains were involved.

If the site was heavily promoted and was very well known, the .net could be worth more than the .com. However, a majority of newer Internet user still think that everything is .com so you will always lose a small percentage of possible visitors to the other domain. Best is to try and secure both when you buy one.

If all things were equal, such as backlinks and SERPS, than I myself would pay about half or $50. However, there are so many other factors involved such as how bad I want th name, what I am going to use for and so on.

If the .com is $100, the .net will be something around $70-$80.
