    Hi,
    I have a dilemma and whilst I should know better I would welcome further comments and opinions.

    Should I buy as an example samplename.net or sample-net.com or both and the reasons to support.

    I think I have identified a reasonable domain name for a new site that I am building.

    Would welcome further input.

    I would choose "samplename.net" just because of the nature of humans. It must be unique and catchy name so your visitors should remember the domain name. Also do not forget to emphasize the .net ending.

    Hypen in domain isn't recommended. I have once a site with hypen and sold it for the cheapest you can imagine all because i didn't suceed in seo in 3 months. I could be too impatient but i think selling it is worth.

    Well, i had decent seo success with multiple hyphen in domains, imho .com are always the key factor rather than the hyphens.

    It would be great that you take samplename.net rather than sample-net.com.
    Don't overlook on .com domain name while .net also able to rank well than .com domain extension.

    The EMD (exact match domain) .net/.com/.org is most important, afterwards you can try to use a hyphen (which is still effective but a lot harder than having the emd)
