Its not the matter of .net .com its actually depend on how you gonna SEO both. Both are same interm of SEO
For SEO, doesn't matter. But if you grow and don't have both URLS, someone might ride on your coat tails by buying any domains with different suffix and gain easy traffic.
totally agree with leaks100 and vhinz. Ita all up to you and how much you effort in marketing strategies
Till the time the domain is tld there is no difference in the eye of search engines. But for human friendly i will suggest .com
In the term of SEO there is no difference in domain name its.com or .net but I'll prefer u go with .com
Google has actually said that it does not matter which extension you use. But, it is still an open question in my mind. Since users may trust a .com more than a .net they may get higher CTRs - and it has been suggested that CTR affects ranking. So while there is no direct negative impact of using an extension other than .com it may have an indirect effect if the extensions causes a lower percentage of people to click through to your site. This is of course highly speculative. If I could get a very good .net name for example, I would probably still go with that over a questionable .com domain.
The .com is always valued higher if you ever think of selling the website, but in the terms of SEO I agree with the other comments here - have good content and you will rank well.
I agree with the consensus... TLD does not affect SEO, but a .com is sure to attract more traffic for a variety of reasons.
