iv have a .net and a .co.uk of the same name. iv been building the .co.uk because all my old domains are .co.uk an i have never had a .net before, i redirected the .net to the .co.uk. The traffic is pretty good on the .co.uk but i was just woundering if i should be focusing on the .net. Its a pretty big project so can only really work on one at a time. im only really worried about really traffic so will the .net do better than the .co.uk or dosnt it make a diffrence??
If the target of your audience is UK, I suppose that .co.uk domain will bring more profit than .net. (just my 2 cents).
I don't think the extension of a domain really matters but if you're talking about targeting some local audiences then .co.uk would be better domain if you're targeting UK audiences.
Hahaha . New theory! Now back to original question, I recommend you to use .co.uk only simply because your other websites are .co.uk (due to which I can presume that your business is not global) all websites be .co.uk gives a nice feel to me about authenticity of your network of websites, dont break. and not least important is that it will give you an extra benefit in local SEO as well as in recolonization of your brand. If it was me I would have not given second thought to .net, it is not .com anyways so break your affection with that. .com however may change my decision.
