It's probably dependon what you need to do. But I think it's better for you to just get .NET Framework 2.0 since they will also have the function that versino 1.1 or the earlier version has, which the earlier version didn't have at that time :)

    i don't think there's 3.0 though :-/
you are not neccessarily uninstall the previous version. Like my PC for example have both 1.1 and 2.0

but by default, it will probably call the newest version, or the latest update. But you probably want to double check on that

3.0 vs 2.0, I'd rather go for Net 2.0 because most bugs are fixed in it as of instead Net 3.0 is fairy new, thus lots of unknown bugs and errors.

it depends on wht version of .net has been used to develop tht application

all latest version are backward compatible so a single latest version is enough

    go wid 2.0 ( i hav't heard abt 3.0)

Thanks,i have uninstalled 1.0 and 1.1 and left 2.0 and 3.0 installed, lets see whether if i wil catch any difference.
My main concern with 1.x was that after i have installed it,overall PC performance droped and i have faced slower HDD read/writes along with couple of other problems,i guess its not ok to run all three versions on the same PC.
