    Hi

I've always wanted to have my own NES rom site but never got around to starting anything. Basically what I wante is a site that permits users to play the games online without requiring to download emulators or the actual game.

Can anyone give me a few ideas of how to get this project on the road. What free scripts are there, must I pa someone to program everything?

Well, i'm guessing the only realistic way to do this is to rewrite the games yourself. I doubt any online scripts can provide the functions you want to stream roms.

You can use Java to allow users to play NES roms online.

You would need a strong server thou.

Also worth noting that the laws are still sketchy on this. The guy who ran Tv-links.com just got charged with allowing illegal downloads of TV shows even though they weren't on his site, just links.

I've been doing a little research myself and found that there is a extension for joomla that lets users play Nes games online. Their arcade extension seems good but joomla is a pain to configure and I don't know if that's worth the trouble.

On the other hand I've also learnt of a few legal issues concerning NES games, so I have to see if it is legal or not.
