i used to be scared to fly now i REALLY look forward to it cause its the only time I am unreachable by pager/cellphone and I can really relax
Well, has anyone of you guys ever gone Greyhound before? That is the worst thing there is. Consider the alternatives to flying (drive for hours or spend hours sitting to some dude who just got out of prison for who knows what) ... the chances of dying in a plane crash are so small and whatever risk there may be is more than worth not having to go thru the discomfort the other 2 can put you thru.
Greyhound is the worst! I had to take it twice to get back to school from the Chicago terminal. You see the scariest looking people in that bus station. I felt as if a gang war could breakout at any second.
what about amtrak? It costs me like 800$ to fly to my home town of Moline Illinois from Lincoln Nebraska. Amtrak is only like 100$
Oh Yea! I took it to New Hamphirse (sp) about this time last year--took days/nights to get there---Boring Ride!
well I got this new EVDO pcmcia card for my laptop its pretty sweet. Broadband speeds anywhere I can get a cellular signal. I figured the train would be good with that? Maybe not so good with cell signals?
Pagers allow for better penetration. They’re still real big in the medical field since a lot of time you can’t get a cell signal in a building, but you can still get a page. Maybe Shoe is a doctor.
Flying kinda scares me too especially after 911. When a plane is in freefall your tray items as well as anything alse that isn't secured floats around in the cabin. But first there is the sensation of zero gravity kinda like drop zone and then your realize something is wrong.
3 pagers =( I keep 1 by my bed I wear 1 and I keep 1 at my office area. I also send text pages to my cellphone but just incase... downtime costs too much money when it happens I always wanted to be a doctor but after seeing what my wife went through to become a doctor then go on to anesthesia then fellowship in cardiac... no thanks
