Yeah..well I host this site: Neopoints.ca. Neopets.com (Which prohibits neopoint selling.), told me to terminate this site off my server because it's basically against they're RULES...But if you read the index page of Neopoints.ca it says you cannot be a part of the Neopets.com staff to enter the site...Is it possible for my hostee to sue Neopets.com for entering the page? Since the staff did...His Disclaimer clearly states that you cannot be a Neopets Staff member and enter...I'm not really sure what I can do. Regards, Paul. EDIT: Also, I have just found out that Selling Neopoints ISN'T illegal...
Why didn't I think of that?? I should start selling drugs... I'll put a note on my door saying that any member of the police force is not allowed to enter.
Lol....Sorry if it's a real stupid question...But this isn't a real problem like as if the hostee was selling drugs..
Why though? Is it because he's using their copyrighted names? If so, I can just let him put in the copyright "All Neopet Images and the word neopets is copyright neopets.com" Or something like that..
ROFL....you're funny dude can i come to your house, take a picture of you. Put it on my site and say it is copyright by DarkCircuit?
Nope, but on the neopet.com site it says that you can use their images/names on your site BUT You must put a copyright....so it's actually legal to do that..
It says you can not post TradeMarked items by NeoPets because they own it. NeoPoints are forbidden to be sold. it says so.
Assuming (not having visited the site) that these points are something from the neo site and are something virtual, no, they can't stop you from selling them. They can however open a large can of legal whoop-ass on you for using any of their trademarked terms.
Wasn't there a privacy act signed in 1996 by Bill Clinton which states that if you're a member of any federal government or something, you can not enter this website, and if you do, we have grounds to sue?
