Rules Negative rep for this??

    Hi all,

    Just got a negative rep. because I replied to a thread that was innactive for a week... I was just browsing the AdSense forum for older threads and I found one that was misplaced to the AdSense forum [so it was in the wrong forum]. I reported it and I thrown a reply about it being in the wrong place.

    A few days later I got neg. rep. with this text:
    "Way to dig up a weeks old thread to add a useless comment. Here is a reward for your effort!"

    I was a bit :mad:

    I have this question [it might sound stupid]: Really why did I get it?? :confused:

    Members may leave rep for anything about which they approve or disapprove.

    A good rule of thumb is try to be positive, factual and non-confrontational. We all know a few old soreheads. :)

    Yep people will give you red rep for a lot of things . However I'd say just be yourself , your friends will do more then just make up for the red rep .

    If you were browsing the Adsense forum then it was Project Mobius for sure, it is a spammer over there, most of its posts are non-sense.

    Thought of that... I think he is a bit annoying with loads of "nearly" same posts in the AdSense forum. Like: "your site is very crap"

    Well maybe he is not a person :)

    Conjecture doesn't help. We have no way of knowing who left it. The post was a red flag for alot of our members.

    Tactless, perhaps but is s/he ever wrong?
