Negative Pagerank?

Excuse my ignorance.. I just did a pagerank check on an inner-page within a domain of PR4, as the page was previously PR3 earlier this week.

However the result is that the page is apparently "-1". What does this mean, if anything? Is it an error with the pagerank check script? I hope so!

Seems like most non-ranked sites come out with -1.. so guess it's the tool. Found pagerankster.com which was much more informative and accurate.

Still a bit miffed why it's dropped from PR3

 

It normally means that there's a bug, I know that when one PR checking tool went bad it was reporting Google as -1!

 

Why don't you guys just use the google toolbar to check PR? At least when you get a strange result like PR-1? I don't get it.

 

That just sounds cruel to give a site a -1!

 

i think there's no such PR as -1. Maybe there's a problem with the script of your tool or maybe that's how they indicate N/A PRs.

 

That means when he links to a website, they go down by 1.

 

It was showing 0 in the toolbar, so I went to double check at one of those sites, because it was 3.

 

I think that's means your site have drop 1 pr

 

A -1 page rank is reported for pages that Google hasn't assigned a pagerank yet or for pages that google doesn't want to show the PR in the tool bar. It will show as a grey tool bar. Don't worry about it if the page is new. If the page is old then it means Google is "hiding" the PR for some reason.

 

Up to now i am not seen any -1 page rank.

 

which tool are you using, i am not seen any negative PR.

 

I'd like to see a -10 Pagerank site.

 

Maybe the tool has stopped working.Just check your pr via google toolbar.

 

i have not heard abot a negative page rank....

 

-1 is something never heard of.

 

It's a simple error in script..as you can see in that site when you enter your blog URL it gives such stupid error.
I tried it with my blog..My Blog is PR3 but it shows -1

The site whatsmypagerank.com always gives the (-1) page rank for every site!!
Including google.com. You can use Google tool bar or tool provided by seoquake.
