Why would you include a keyword and have that same keyword a negative match?

You would have this when you have a long list of keywords that were not picked one by one. This list may have words or phrases of which you don't won't your ads to appear.

In this case if you ad a negative (abc as in your example) it will override your keywords and block your ad from showing for all searches with abc.

    For eg:-

Wood is in my keyword list

and i have included wood as negative keyword.

Now google adwords is showing clicks and impressions for the keyword Wood.
How this is possible? The wood and Wood should be the same for the googole adowrds.
