Negative iTrader ?

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by ajsa52, Mar 30, 2007.

Several months ago I purchase a package (5 sitewides links for 1 year) from other DP member following a thread on Sales Forum here at DP. After my payment, my link was inserted quickly so I gave him a positive iTrader. But now my link has dissapeared from their sites, and I've tried to contact with that member by eMail, by PM, and by post on his thread. But after +10 days I didn't received a reply.

I've read that other members are offended when somebody gives them regative iTrader and counterattack with another regative iTrader in return. Even I've read this from other DP user:
"...i've exposed a scammer using 3 usernames on here and he keeps on giving me negative iTrading ratings each time i bust him trying to scam someone else. The reply i got from DP was that they do not get into the middle of disputes between members."

I want to prevent other DP users, but I don't want to start an Negative iTrader War, so
Should I give that member a Negative Itrader, or should I move on ?

    Please, post your thoughts. Thanks.

go to the original thread and write that you have had your link removed which you had paid for. I would ask the person why. Let others see the thread and if anyone else had it happen they should post also.

As far as most of the members of this forum are concerned, they do not look at the number of negative iTraders, but the cause for the negative iTrader before deciding on whether or not to make a transaction.

If you already gave him a positive iTrader a several months ago, you cannot give him another one just because your links disappeared. AFAIK...

One of the reasons I felt it may be beneficial to members if we could edit iTrader feedback:

I would stick to this suggestion.

Members already scammed will post back, and those who are unaware of the situation will be warned.

i learned from my experience that you should never give a negative iTrader because they'll give you a negative itrader too. Just be careful with the person you are dealing.

It is unfortunate that when you are scammed by someone here on DP that there really is no venue to warn others. If you start a thread to express your concern (or post to the original thread) you will be bad-repped almost as fast as you click the "post" button. When you have a legitimate grievance but cannot give a negative iTrader without worrying about getting one back it makes the whole system far less effective.

What makes the system far less effective is the reluctance to use it.

go to his his itrader and see the one you left, then click report and state you want it changed to neg itrader for failing to keep there word, i am sure they can see the deal and intention of good itrader, but when they fail to keep their word, you should have the right to have that good itrader changed.
