Negative impact from additional links to a page that ranks well?

    yes, I lost 4 spots down to #20 on G after an article went up. I'm now #1 in yahoo and msn for same keyword. I hope once the links age big G will show me some love.

    The problem we are experiencing are with product pages - they have plenty of IBL's from many c-class IP's.

    It all started after the big J - gone from first page to 3-4 pages deeper and it has not rebounded. Sites with non or very few IBL's rank first page.

    I think he's saying that if your website gives more than 1 link to another webpage that ranks well, then your website's rank goes down, I think.
