Negative effect from back links

Just putting this out there has anyone noticed a negative impact from having a bad link back at all?

I've read a lot about blacklisted sites that sell links and google will punish but has anyone had it happen to them?

I am yet to personally experience anything of this kind but if the site you approach for a backlink appears to have too many outbound links with respect to its content size, you would do well to just ignore it!

don't look for links from 'bad neighborhoods'. Link exchanges, etc.

I hear what you are saying i was more curious to see if some one had been affected and hopefully share their experience.
There is just so many talked about strategies and it's sometimes difficult to see through the good from the bad.

backlinks have natural posistive effects for you, if you did it the right way. and also what the other guy have said is true. Don't look for backlinks from bad neighborhood sites.

Backlinks do not have any negative effect because we can not control it, anyone can create a link to our website with no risk. considering to outbound link because we can control this.

that may not actually be correct. Google can behave in any way they like, as there is no independent auditing of their activities. They can (and, I believe, do) penalize sites for bad backlinks where they believe you did it yourself in order to manipulate PR. Note the word 'believe'. They don't need *proof*.

What if the spam website make backlink to My website and I can not order them to remove the link,Is My website get bad reputation? if such it is very easy to throw that other website. I thought it was not simply that. you are correct they have rules, but they can not manage what should be done by others.

unlike a court of law, google decide what to do however they like. If they look at a bunch of interlinked sites (thrown up by a suspicious linkage report, for example), and decide that one person / entity owns them all, and is deliberately trying to focus PR then they can (and do) penalize. I don't know why you have an issue with this - its a company in a VERY lightly regulated area.

    At the moment.
