Hi I´m running a site , where the concept are user contributed articles and bookmark s sharing. With other word we have quite a lot of text daily which Google should like.
But as it seems as it is right now we haven´t been indexed since 5 OKTOBER.

I a´m quite worried that Google have kicked our site out of their crawling, but by using their tool for web developers, it say that the site is NOT banned at all.

Also when using site:www.fastbutter.com , it only shows that Google have been indexed the site before but, there is none of our article that have been indexed.

Furthermore the command cache: www.fastbutter.com is not showing anything on Google. Does that mean that Google don´t cach us and therefore no indexing?

What should we do to make the best for SEO purpose?

    Every help is appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.

Your site is normal indexing and for query site:your domain - 61 results.
    But...
At first, server is soooo slowly, search engines can penalized your site for it.
At second, you need some content in destination category, meybe there is more, just i haven't time for wait longer until it will open at all.
So, Matte - change server or hosting provider at first.

Your site has been cached on 15 October so no need to worry so soon.
Google may penalize you for duplicate content or may not index duplicate content if user submit/share already published content on your site, so you need to take care of it.
Secondly, You home page is less content and more link, so I will suggest you to put some more content on your site.

I have been reading about duplicate content and each of our article has 3 link that all point to the same article
    http://www.fastbutter.com/Article/71/Living-In-Paradise-on-a-Dime
    http://www.fastbutter.com/Article/71/Living-In-Paradise-on-a-Dime#Comments
    http://www.fastbutter.com/Article/71/Living-In-Paradise-on-a-Dime#Score

I guess this is duplicate content.
Further more I have been reading that robots.txt can fix this problem, but I don´t quite understand how to block that in the robot.txt
Anyone that are willingly to give me an example?

Also user can not submit same domain name, but can have same title, so I guess that is not a problem...?

The homepage has 70% link 30% article, but still I think our 30% article do have quite lot text, but still Google index them very bad.

By the way, it´s kind strange . I tried use cache: www.fastbutter.com yesterday and earlier today but Google couldn´t find anything, until right now :S

I agree with Reliable-SeoServices. Problem might be with duplicate content. This is a very common problem when you have more user-contributed content which might be copied from some other site.

    Hi again all,
As I described before each of my articles generates 3 links to the very same article
    Article
    Article#vote
    Article#Score

I have been putting a no follow on all links with # , so google only index the original Article , the one without #.

This should fix the duplicate content between sites.

As for ppl posting duplicate content in our site, it can be difficult to control and actually I have no really solution for it right now. Anyone know how digg, reddit, hubpages are doing this?

Also I kind feel it is strange that Google index our site so badly. By using site:www.fastbutter.com I mostly see google have indexed our categories instead of actual text....???

Thank you for your encourage words, I just got anxious because the traffic have been pending from high to low to average.
As it seems right now, it is really, really, difficult to get traffic, for a site like mine who are dependent at user contributed material it is even more difficult to make Google love the site.
What I have done is being active in commenting, some article writing both in our site and in other high ranked pr sites, directory submitting etc still not to much traffic to the site. Well I guess all take time....

Also I know I have at least 15 backlinks, but oddly Google says the site have 0 backlinks, which is really strange. Yahoo show another positive figure.
