Hi I have a site that is getting about 1k unique views each month and would like to increase the traffic. The site is content based but also has a forum and blog. I've been running the site for 8 months now and have achieved PR2 so far and have 800 urls indexed by google. I've done the basic SEO stuff, meta tags, SE submission, directories and a little bit of back linking. To drive more traffic i need to improve my SEO techniques but i'm a little stuck and don't know what to do next. Does anybody have any advice? Thanks Zander
Very true i guess. More content = more traffic? Problem is i don't know if it would be better to do more SEO on the content i have rather than just create more. What little SEO i do for each piece of content i write does help.
Yeah! Definitely more content and more backlinks.... Backlinks, Backlinks, and Backlinks. You can do so by way of Article Marketing, Press Releases and Social Bookmarking. All these help with traffic now, but also, what you do now will help you in the long run. The marketing of my website consist of me writing articles and press Releases and distributing them through out the internet.. A little time consuming, but works wonders short term and long term. This is the only marketing I have been doing for the last 2 years, for this particular website and its awesome. I get about 500 Unique Visitors a day and its only growing, the more articles I write the more traffic and exposure I get... I think you're getting it here...Bottom line; "MORE CONTENT", but quality and unique content..
Help out in other forums or sites covering your niche and provide a link back to your site. Content always helps as noted.

More content doesn't mean more traffic that's very wrong Well it depends on your competition olso pr doesn't mean traffic or serp rankings Continue link building do it right (build backlinks with your keyphrases as anchor text (alernate the anchor text to make them look more naturaly)) Regards

How is this possible. More contents means more efforts and you need to long time efforts to get results. You cannot expect more traffic just because you have more content. You can say that more quality contents makes it possible for you to get more traffic.
More content = more traffic? Yea thats what i thought, more work. I'm only writing quality articles, written by me and completely unique. I'm not into flooding the net with junk. How important is anchor text to search engines? Also i'm only interested in quality traffic.
