Hi im new to adsense and I was looking at all of peoples successes. My website is only new but I dont seem to be getting very many impressions and even less clicks. People dont want to seem to click on ads. Can you guys help me by telling me how to get traffic and make my ads more appealing. Any help is appreciated.
Getting less clicks than impressions is to be expected. You need to learn how to get traffic and the conversions will follow. If you provide url the members here may be able to help you further. Dean
First of all, people should love to read your contents and hence make your site loaded with interesting contents. Then traffic. Get targeted traffic (like the one from search engines) and visitors from SE traffic are more likely to click your ads provided you have placed the adsense ads at the right place and blending/contrasting the contents with the ads.
My blog started off as a place where people could view Heroes. Its a very simple site because im not sure how or what to add to it. I only added ads because my friend suggested it and I quite liked the idea. So if any of you could give me advice on how to improve my site it would be appreciated. 2 words: Quality Content. Only good content that people are looking for or will enjoy to read will bring you impressions and clicks. So better work on that first, and later on SEO.
Good quality content is one factor but you also need your site indexed in the search engines and other sites linking to it online. You can have the best content in the world but that's next to useless if nobody can find it. It's like building the best burger bar in the middle of the desert. Don't get caught up in the "clicks" thing. When your content is quality and very SE friendly the traffic will come and lastly of course the clicks will follow. Get more rep, learn how to build your content and keep your visitors wanting to come back. It all comes with "time"...
Hmm good point Dean. Ive only been able to social bookmark my website and it dosen't seem to be working :S. So far ive got about 225 views in about 3 days. Any ideas how to drive more traffic?
It's still early days yet. 225 views in 3 days is okay, you are getting views but don't get caught up just chasing social traffic. Look at things like exchanging links with relevant websites, writing articles, commenting on relevant blogs, video marketing, seo, directory submissions, adding more content etc. Dean

Yes, but don't spam the blogs with comments like "Hi there good post" or "I really like your site" or anything like that. Contribute to them and add to the information experience for the end user. Remember, those people are webmasters - they want great comments which is why they allow comments, but they don't want spam about viagra or stuff not relevant to their website. Dean
