I am so interested in having my own ecommerce business, but there are so many considerations such as.. 1. I'm from Philippines.. I don't know the tax issues with respect to my country but my target market will be USA, UK, CANADA or Australia. 2. I only have PayPal as a medium of payment transaction and I still don't know on how to set up other payment medium that are available to our country. 3. I have the niche, but don't know where to find a trusted dropshipper. 4. I have $50 only as Capital. (is it enough to start?) please help me.. just PM me if you have some special details, tips and advise. Thanks!..
Dear as far as money consideration is concern for Importing Goods or exporting Goods... If you want to import Goods there is a great option which is meant for "Country to country Items Exchange" is Letter of Credit system which is the document or agreement which is given by a bank of one country to another just for the time period required or relaxation to pay the liability. A relaxment is for the person in one country who has aim to import the goods from another country As far as shipping to another country is concern , you can just take a knowledge from your country Tax department and can take the quotes from the Tax department for sending the goods to other Country and then properly can work accordingly... Also for start up you can have lease option or initially you can make a contract with another Vender Local if he is agree to display items on your website and if your website has good traffic then you can take small % on each item sale from the vender... Regards
i'm not good at this though but $50 isn't enough look for verified manufacturer/supplier in globalresources.com that should help.
Yeah, i am afraid $50 is not huge amount to get into online business. Do you have any hosted online store. ? You can refer Globalsources.com & alibaba.com etc... which have many verified manufacturer/supplier.
$50 doesnt leave you with much to play with. In terms of getting a merchant account you can use 2checkout for $49. Have you decided on the shopping cart that you are going to use? is this ready? This alone could set you behind by about a couple of hundred $ My advice is try to get more starting capital. Good luck
alright, if $50 is not enough, how much is the ideal capital to start a dropshipping business?.. I really need your help.. thanks to all who replied.. looking forward for more tips.. thanks.
Oskar. Do you have a credit card processor? Do you have hosting? Do you have a shopping cart or ecommerce platform? These questions will help give you an idea of how much you will need.
Thanks, are you gonna build site with OSCommerce platform?.. or Magento?.. or WP?.. Do you some portfolio?.. And anybody here know some trusted dropshippers?..
Google - NicheBlueprint.com great education program dealing with ecommerce. They have their own directory of dropshipers and including with the program is a ecommerce software package. There is an active forum and they have dealt extensively with the issue of living outside the country you wish to target. Very reputable company and great training.
