Ok, I am a freelance web developer and a total noob at cf just trying to make through the door. I took on a project thats a website that needs updated and maintained and is written in coldfusion. Im using dreamweaver and coldfusion mx7. From what I can see not too much cf was programmed into the site, but my question. Do I have to upload site info to the cf admin server to get it on the web and how do I do that and what do I need? Is cf a web host? And how do I test cf files in dreamweaver? It says I have to put in the name of the root folder on the server amongst all kind of other info. Do I have to get that info off of the client? Please any help would be awesome ty

    The site is http://www.sandyslovenest.com

Don't worry, not a porn site.

CF runs on a web host alongside a web server. You don't need anything but ftp and notepad to edit the files.

What happens when you do not enter the root folder at all?

It does nothing, just closes out the screen and back to dreamweaver
