I am a novice writer and I am new writer in Buy Sell Trade - DP forum?

I have some questions as a novice writer and I am expecting answers from experienced writers for right answers:

    1. When you accept your first project from new clients, what is your payment condition:
an upfront payment or a payment after work done?

    2. What is your next move - When clients refuse to accept your requirement of an Upfront Payment?

    3. If you accept payment after a work done : What is your move - when client is content scammer or does not pay you by showing a mistake that content is not passed copyscape or some illogical reason to scam you ?

    4. What is your reaction - when client does not login after given you project?

I have already search answers on this question, but there is no answer for these questions.

Kindly share your experience to help other novice writers.

    Thanks :)

I'm not an expert writer. I'd just like to point out that you meant scammer and scam in #3, not spam.
Though I would suggest Half Upfront and half after work. Seems to be the most logical solution for both parties.
Also, it's good to have some good reputation and Testimonials. Gives your client more confidence when doing business with you.

    Hope that helped. :)

Deal with reputed guys with Payment After Delivery! Deal with others with upfront payment!

If the client doesnt agree for an upfront payment, Drop him(If you really can do) or work according to his methods!

Personally, I, for works, get paid upfront with no problems! When someone doest agree to that, i drop him, if he isnt reputed! And even if he is reputed, I will to split the whole transaction into 2, if the amount is something more than usual :D So all remains happy!

Yes, you are right...split payment 50% before and 50% after...
How dou you charge your writing ? per word or per whole article?
Are you writing standard 300 words articles or longer ones?

    That's okey...
I usually write 300 to 450 words articles, for some clients and for
articles written to promote my lotto lottery site.
I also write pages content. But, usually for myself.
How much you charge per word...:p
I understand you write in English.

Yes extremephp, may be you are right but the problem is what if client refuse to pay 50% upfront payment ?

You have good reputation in DP and with your clients and its not happen in single day, it also takes a time. You know that who is reputated and who is not because of your experience.

I am sorry if I am confusing you, but I am a novice writer, that's why getting a job from reputed person is hard stuff, and working for a clients, who doesn't pay you 50% upfront is full of risk (I have tried this many times and every time I got the same bad experience).

Building a good reputation in DP takes at-least a year or may be 3-6 months. So what is next applicable way to find a right person to do writing jobs to honestly get paid. :)

OP, I got your PM, and here are some quick answers:

When you accept your first project from new clients, what is your payment condition:

New clients are asked to pay 50 - 100 percent upfront with any remainder due on their acceptance of the materials.

What is your next move - When clients refuse to accept your requirement of an Upfront Payment?

I explain that a deposit guarantees my time, which is limited, but that if he is not comfortable with that arrangement, I understand. Then I usually get a response back with a deposit, but sometimes I just move on.

If you accept payment after a work done : What is your move - when client is content scammer or does not pay you by showing a mistake that content is not passed copyscape or some illogical reason to scam you ?

If your content didn't pass copyscape, you didn't deliver what you promised. He has every right to ask you to rework the content before paying you. If he does not pay you after reworking the content, he doesn't own the material and can not use it without your permission. Be sure he is aware that ownership transfers with payment, and without payment, you maintain all rights to the work and can use it as you please. Of course, give him a chance to pay - it can take up to a week to get funds cleared through PayPal at times, but look for maintained communication.

What is your reaction - when client does not login after given you project?

If I have all the details I need, I complete the project. If I don't have the details I need, I send a PM to the client or email through the site explaining that I need a response to get started. This is honestly not a problem I have since a very small number of my clients come through DP.
