Dear friends i have to do seo for a company website.. Really i dont know how to do ..I have done seo for many websites which is having content.I know how to optimize each post and i can bring those posts in google top position..But i dont know how to do seo for company websites..Why because those websites will not contain any content.. But when i ask same question to my friend he just said 2 steps.. 1)choose low traffic keywords. 2)submit url to all major search engines.. shall i follow him? plzz guide me frnds....
WEll, SEO is divided in two onpage SEO and offpage SEO. As you said, you can bring post to google top position, so you must have some knowledge. If you can not really focus on onpage SEO, then put all your energy on OFFsite SEO, wich comes down to: backlinks, more backlinks and even more backlinks. (with proper anchor title being your targetted keywords.)
As camay said company websites need more efforts on off page optimization, that's right. But you also shud aware with On Page Optimization. And i hope that you are very aware with both on page & off page optimization. Choosing Low traffic keywords is not gud idea but you cud target them with high traffic keywords. Your title tag shud contain both high traffic & low traffic keywords in proper manner. It does not really matter if you have gud site & backlinks then search engines wud find your sites themselves.
