    Hi there,

Am opening a new business and don't have a huge amount of knowledge when it comes to designing the site myself.

I am planning to use the following flash template: dynamicfactory.us/004/businessTime/businessTime.htm

What I need is someone to do the required editing I need in order to suit my business - which is a Personal Concierge business servicing busy professionals - providing secretarial, travel and home services for Australians.

I don't think it would be a very difficult task, as I don't need a huge amount of changes made - just text, images and a few colour changes I would think. I will liase with the editor and let them know as we go along exactly what is needed.

Please post here or PM if you are interested in helping out.

    Thanks in advance,
    Rob Burton.

may I suggest something?... If there is one, I would get the html version of this template just because lets say you want to edit something in the future; text, images colors etc. You would either have to go out and buy Flash or hire someone again to do it for you which could be a hassle. with the html version changes could be made by you instantly and possibly save you money.

    Just my suggestions

    Thanks for the reply.

So you are saying that I should get the HTML version rather than the flash version? The problem for me with that, is that I like the dynamic effects of flash like the live clock and those sorts of things.

I am looking to keep the page pretty similar in the future anyway I would have thought, and if any small changes are needed then I'm sure whoever I get to do it off here wouldn't mind making some small changes if I give them a basic fee each time.

However as I said, I'm not all that experienced with this, so I really appreciate your opinions. Any more feedback greatly appreciated.

If your target customers are busy (wo)men, the last thing you want is to waste their time with Flash and useless crap. Look down to the bottom right of your monitor; is there maybe a clock there already? What does having one on your page add to the visitors' experience? This is not about tickling your fancy, it's about pleasing them with a site that doesn't add to the noise. You're trying to sell peace of mind, right?

Make a clean, very easy to use site. Keep everything rock solid standard, so they can navigate easily and do it in any browser they care to use, including non-graphical.

Make it easy for them to see what you offer, how much it'll cost'em and how to hire your services. Do not distract them with time wasters.

    cheers,

    gary
