Okay Dp members i need your thoughts and tips on my website and blog, im still in developing it as im adding content to it everyday. Im thinking of a new design. maybe get rid of that ugly header and just place a logo in the left top corner and ad rectangle block in the right, change the menu bar. etc spit out any of your thoughts and tips of how to make my web better looking and placing. my site: http://www.epictureperfect.net thank you
This is a very strong looking site. I like the theme throughout and the colors are appealing. It's a bit confusing as far as there being many separate navigation menus. However, I realize it's tough when you have so much detail to cover in your site, as you do. Overall, it seems very sticky and people will most likely stay and browse around for a while.
I think your site is very nice looking as well, but you could make a few tweaks to make the look more consistent. If it were my site, I would remove the green background on the right sidebar where the 'Top Beauty Secrets' and 'Advice Centre' are and put those really nice rounded, green gradient headers on top of each of those images. I would also remove the dotted borders from the content section and the adsense block. I personally believe they are a distraction and are not necessary. Overall, I think your site looks great! thank you very much for your thoughts. im going to delete the menu bar on the left "beauty care solutions. and Q & A and also the training iamges. in that side bar im going to add professional cartoon logos, e.g beauty, health, weight loss etc. im also going to remove the header them all of it and simply put a simple logo on the top left. any other suggestions or thoughts or if im not doing it right ... please say or shout out! your thougts needed very much
Why do you want to remove your header banner? In my opinion it looks really nice. That was the first thing I noticed when I entered your site, and it made a really good impression. It's a very professional banner with the logo on the left, the picture on the right and the butterflies flying around. But I agree on some of the other comments that were made. I would remove the green background on the right side and the dotted borders. Also I noticed that when I click on one of the links in the middle of the page, a new browser opens up. I'm not sure why you have set it up like that (there might be good reason behind it) but, I would set that to open up in the same browser, as it is still part of your site. But overall, you have done a great job. Good Luck.
