I have completely revamped my site. I am planning to stick to this niche. I guess, I need an opinion from those of you who have been in the ebay affiliate program for a long time, do I stand a chance with my site? I have just started promoting it through AdWords, so I am expecting some good results in the near future. But still there are questions, questions... http://hoppershopper.com
Not bad - design is nice and clean. You might want to get a really nice header image eventually, but for now it looks fine. Personally, I'd go through the code and make it all valid, but if your main source of traffic is via PPC, then it doesn't really matter much.
Hello vitalbusiness Accessories breaks to a new line for me (FireFox) in the nav bar. Getting rid of the 'v' in the menu should give you plenty of room. I like what you did for the multiple program sign ups. Digital cams is a tough niche.. you planning on doing PPC for this? EditorKits are nice and easy, but you lose the opportunity of picking up searchable/indexable content since it's javascript. I would recommend using RSS or API and generate the HTML serverside. I see your using PHP already.. so this should be a snap. Overall, it's real clean and easy to navigate. hanji
Got rid of the v. I usually check them in Firefox and Opera - not this time. Thank you for letting me know about it. Can you tell me how to covert the long RSS link that I generate to a short link like: hoppershopper.com/feeds or something similar?
If you're going to use the rss feed, you might want to take a look at my free eBay rss script - it works with Wordpress or any PHP powered site. It's pretty basic, but it's a good way to get started with the rss feed
I dowloaded it but am not sure if I can figure it out. It may take a while. BTW, I updated the logo if you care check it out.
Logo looks much much better! Feel free to PM me (or post over here) if you need help with the script.
Do you mean like a description of each brand right next to the listing? That would be helpful, I think. A lot of work. But I may give it try. The problem is the sub pages are called out by an include file and it's throughout the site. I may need to rework it.
I'll give you a hint...there are ways to scrape content write off wikipedia and other such websites which are product specific. Or you can just setup RSS feeds with keyword searches which automatically update.
