Hey guys, Working on a New page for my work..This is one of the first pages that I done almost completely in dreamweaver...Its only a single page..but I would like your input on it before I continue on...Feel free to be somewhat critical..I have a broad shoulders The hardest problem I have is I am to critical of my work..I feel like its not the greatest things..Could and should be better...But the people who I work for like it..But something doesnt feel right about it...And I need to get this one right because this is a major project for me and my company... http://www.cwhayden.com/customer/cwhayd/customerpages/surfasolvesite/home.htm Let me know youthink..Graphic wise, layout, color..Is the black to much?? So on and so forth.
The black background is a little hard on the eyes... The site doesn't look to fit the page (I mean - there is a lot of white space to the right). What I would do is increase the width of the site content and center it on the page. Then I would increase the size of the font which would make it easier to read and take away from the "black background hard on eyes". The graphics are fine!
Thanks Dash, I have decided to do away with the black becasue your right its way to hard on the eyes...I will repost a link once I have fixed it and get your opinions again...
Dash mentioned what i was going to say (about the width) if you increase the width, then users will not have to scroll down , its good to have everything without any scrolling (at least for me). You might want to change the color of the mouse over for the drop down menus too, right now its red, its kind of inconsistent with the black and blue you have now, maybe try a not so bright blue with white/grey text?
Thanks Project Mobius I will keep all of that in mind when I am redesigning it..I will post it when I have something and I would love to get your opinion again....
i think you have to play around with different numbers for this one see which one YOU think looks best
750px this is ideal for 800x600 resolutions. Very few people have a smaller resolution than this these days. Using 800px may be too big, (taking into consideration the scrolling bar on the right). 750px allows room to play
