I've 301 all URLs from wwwdomain.COM -> wwwdomain.NET.. 6 months later I want to remove that 301 and replace it with the vice versa (wwwdomain.NET] -> wwwdomain.com). So what im doing here is "permanently" moving a set of pages onto another domain, then changing my mind 6 months later and moving them back onto the original domain.. Obviously a 302 would be the correct, standardised way to do this but because ive got links coming into both domains, i want them all to count - hence the 301s. My quesiton is, will search engines like this? Will they keep updating 301 redirections even if you keep changing ur mind and not treating it as permenant..?
301 Permanent Redirection: Use 301 Permanent redirection when you are moving your webpage or domain permanent to some other locations. It indicates search engine spiders that page is moved permanently to the new location. Use Server side redirection whenever you move your domain or webpage to new location.
It's quite unlikely that search engines are keeping track of a previous set of 301s from 6 months ago. It seems reasonable to believe that this set of redirects will be treated the same as the last set.
