Need your knowledge on reseller hosting

Im thinking of getting some reseller hosting to inflate my earnings (im an affiliate as of now) but I need to know a couple of things first so I would appreciate it if someone could answer these questions.

- Is it possible to automate the process of creating a web host package for a buyer?

- for reseller hosting site owners, how much time do you spend maintaining your reseller site each week?

- So far, I average 7 sign ups per day as an affiliate, so, how much time would it take me to create 7 hosting packages each day?

You can use WHMCS to automate billing/account creation

 

Hi, yes you can get a billing system like whmcs or clientexc and you can set that up to auto create the accounts..

Depending on the needs of your clients is going to depend on how much time you will spend on support tickets.. You should always monitor your clients sites to make sure they are not violating any TOS..

Yes WHMCS works alike for both VPS , boxed and Resellers and Master Resellers. Its a great one.

If you recieve 7 signups a day then a VPS is a good option so you can sell resellers Also, a reseller might be a good idea, were you can automate your clients signups with Clientexec, WHMCS, Modernbill, WHMAP, Solidbill etc...

But since Im a newbie to hosting etc. what is a VPS and what is the advantage of having it over a standard reseller hosting account.

 

A vps is a virtual private server, where you have root access to the server (vps) but if you are new then your best bet would be to go for a shared reseller account so you do not have the hassle of running and manging a VPS..

I think before you choose to go as a reseller you should realize that it is easy being an affiliate because you are selling for an already established company. You will NOT be getting 7 sign-ups a day with a new reseller account because you will be a new company and you will need to establish your business first.

Not only will the 7 reduce, but more importantly, you will make MORE money from affiliates than yourself, specially considering the time that will go into maintaining the accounts and all problems that come with hosting !
