I have a new idea of a website however i am not sure what the best thing to use is and most simple way of creating the site would be.

This is basically what i want the script to do.

    1.People come to the site
    2. They read my site and decide to sign up
    3. They need to pay a certain yearly fee to sign up, via paypal
    4. They then receive one email every week
    5. When the year since they signed up runs out, they need to pay again.

Now my problem is, how can i set the site up so that they pay through paypal the site then knows who they are, when they signed up, there email address and other information which can be contained in a database, so that once the year runs out they get an automated email to renew their subscription.

I need to ensure its all secure and safe so that people HAVE to pay to enable them to be in my subscription list.

I am guessing for this there will be some sort of PHP script needed, as well as a MySQL database or two. Paypal button and a php subscription box or something....

Has anyone any ideas, of any script that does this, or sounds to do this kind of thing?

    Thanks.

You can do it easy buy making a subscription button where people sign up - get referred to paypal and instantly when they've paid they get refered automatic from paypal to a sign up page (not visible to others) - They sign up and can then use the username to sign in.

Though, the problem with this would be that they know where this address is so they won't need to pay more when the year is up either because they can just go and sign up again.
But this might be a temporarly way to do it. Or you can refer them to a "scrambled" site, where it's shown in the bar "www.yoursite.com/signup but the address is actually www.yoursite.com/21555f
This can be done by html and then they won't know where to go without actually paying again :)
Maybe a little bad explained, but...you get the picture, maybe :D

Another way is using a automatic script - there's a lot of them out there, but I'm not familiar with it.

Well...I didn't find the membership script (yet anyway), but maybe you can get some tips or link to places here: http://www.juts.info/membership.zip

It's two ebooks you can take a look at if you wish.

May I suggest aMember Pro. It's currently the best around. I've used it for months and it really is perfect. It supports almost every payment gateway available and it's very easy to set-up and manage. My business went bankrupt so I can sell you the license if you want. Check my thread here.
