Need your help: I am buying an Adsense site, will income go down or stay?

    Hi,
Really need help from the experts understanding this:
I have an opportunity to buy an Adsense site for $1000 which averages ~$365 per month (over the last 4 months). If I buy this site and then DO NOTHING, will the traffic/income soon drop? Will the search engines reduce the site's rankings because no fresh content is added?
The way I look at it, if the income was truly residual, anyone could take $10,000 and produce an income of ~$3600 per month, which sounds too good to be true to me! Could someone clarify this?
    Thanks!

check the traffic source. If it is from search engines, it is a good deal.

You do not need to any content as long as you add backlinks. I have a blog in a VERY WELL KNOWN niche and it ranks #3 in a VERY hard to rank keyword. Latest added content date Aug, 2009 :)

sound like very good, but I think everything are not easy, there's no website values 3*income of a month for 300$+ per month

    you should check carefully

Check where the traffic comes from. If it comes from search engines, then you can mantain the same level of earnings or even increase. Just you should don't stop building backlinks, adding fresh content etc etc

Must update the content in the site if you want constant flow of the traffic. Your ranking in search engine can go down if you dont update the site too often

hey in my opinion it sounds funny, because why would someone sell a site that generates income of $300+ for a $1,000. Ask the person you're buying it from why is he selling it. check whats the site is about. because it might be a hot topic which is popular now. for example site can be about um... let's say for exapmple movie Salt 2010 in about 2 months site isn't going to be as popular because a new movie will come out, if you know what i mean, so in general idea. you can check incoming traffic in google analytics http://www.google.com/analytics if the traffic is comming from search engines then it's great deal. You should try building quality backlinks with sites that are more popular than yours, google respects those links and ranks your site higher. so i hope i helped a little at least. Good luck. Make the right choice cuz the $1000 is alot of money. :)
