    Hello,
I don't know if this is the correct forum to ask my ques. Well I am with hostmonster as my host for my domains. Most of them are blogs and I chose them as my host. Yesterday i received email and I got shocked as after 11 months of good service my host suspended my site for malware/virus reason. I am not sure how this came to happen. All I have installed is wp blogs ,joomla script and phpbb3 forum, all supplied by host themselves. I actually didn't even uploaded any file since last 2-3 months, my all scripts are well updated, my PC is fully protected by paid anti virus but still that happened. They told me to delete all suspected files and now I am confused which files are important and which are not. So they told me to check modified date using filezilla. But it's really pathetic to go through each and every folder.

So my question is, is there any such thing in filezilla or any other such software which will listout or sort out all the files from my hosting by last modified date by deep search???

If your host is competent, they should be able to scan your files on their own for any malicious files. In fact, that is what they should have already done BEFORE contacting you.

They should be using something like ClamAV to scan your files. Tell them to do it for you; it's what you pay them for after all.

ya! they named 5-6 files then I removed them then they said these are not only the files. then I asked them to tell me the other files then they said this is not the service they provide and linked to a service which asks about minimum 99$/year/domain! :(

How much do you pay monthly? Switch hosts if this is how they are treating you.

Hostgator. They regularly scan as well, so even if you don't find anything, they might.

No doubt you left your Blog platforms to run unpatched allowing people to upload malware onto your webspace using venerabilities that "you" didn't patch. You need to make sure you update all your software ESPECIALLY wordpress. I dont think its right for your host to ban your site without warning but they were probably just trying to protect themselves and other clients.

You can try to fix it by Google Tools for WebMaster, if your site are infected this tool report the exatly file and url that you need to clean.
Also, 90% of this problem can be solve by an antivirus scan on your account.
Ask to your hosting if they can start a complete scan on the files of your account then move all infected file in a directory safe.

If you are not able to do this i can help you, PM me ;)
